All Pet-a-tete Forests are made to order. Production begins only if the minimum number of pre-orders is met during the pre-order window. In the event that the minimum number of pre-orders is not met, Pet-a-tete reserves the right to cancel the production of the Forests.
In such a case, your payment will be refunded in full to the original method of payment. You will be notified at the close of the pre-order window via the email address you provided at checkout.
Estimated Timelines for the close of pre-orders, production commencement, and dispatch of Forests are published on the Website for your reference. These timelines are indicative and subject to reasonable change due to production or logistical factors. Pet-a-tete will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed of any material delays and will provide regular updates regarding the status of your order.
If you cancel within 7 days of placing your pre-order: 100% refund.
If you cancel after 7 days but before production begins: 80% refund.
Once production begins: no refunds.
Personalised Forests: not eligible for refunds after 7 days from the date of placing your pre-order.
This policy is in place because your pre-order secures a limited spot, and late cancellations affect our ability to plan production.
Depending on your selected pre-order tier, you would have paid between 30% to 100% in advance. If applicable, the remaining balance will be due once your Forest enters production. You will receive an email notifying you when this happens. You must complete the balance payment within 7 days of receiving this notification. If the balance payment is not made within this period:
Estimated shipping for Forests from Chapter One is late October 2025.
These timelines are subject to change based on production schedules and logistics. You will receive regular updates and shipping notifications as your Forest progresses.
Returns or exchanges are only permitted in the case of Forests that arrive damaged, defective, or materially different from what was ordered.
Claims must be submitted within 7 days of receiving your order. For more information, please refer to our Returns Policy.
Returns for any other reason, including change of mind, are not permitted for pre-ordered, made-to-order Forests.
Forests pre-ordered as part of Chapter One by Founding Companions will receive an extended care commitment, which includes repair or replacement support for a period of three (3) years from the date of delivery, subject to terms outlined in our Maintenance and Care Policy. This commitment covers defects arising from regular use and excludes issues from misuse, neglect, or unauthorised alterations.

All preorders placed during our launch window will be dispatched within 100 days from the date of order placement. This is an estimated timeline and may vary slightly based on production schedules, raw material availability, or logistics.
You will receive regular email updates as your product moves through the stages of production. Once your order is ready to ship, you will receive tracking details via email or WhatsApp, based on the contact information provided at checkout.
We currently ship across all serviceable pincodes in India. If your location is not serviceable, we will contact you to explore alternate delivery options or issue a full refund.
While we aim to meet all timelines, unforeseen events such as natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, or logistical issues may occasionally cause delays. If this occurs, we will keep you informed and work to resolve the situation as soon as possible.

Pet-a-tete reserves the right, but is not obligated to limit the sales of our Products or Services to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. Pet-a-tete may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. Pet-a-tete reserves the right to limit the quantities of any Products or services that are offered on the Website.
Pet-a-tete has the right to cancel or refuse the order for any reason. Some situations that may result in your order being cancelled include limitations on quantities available for purchase, inaccuracies or errors in product or pricing information, or problems identified by our credit and fraud avoidance department. We may also require additional verifications or information before accepting any order. We will contact you if all or any portion of your order is cancelled or if additional information is required to accept your order. If your order is cancelled after your payment has been received, the said amount will be reversed back within 15-20 working days.
In the event we are unable to deliver the Product to you on time or at all, you will be notified by an e-mail and your order will be automatically cancelled due to unavailability of the Product or at your instructions due to failure to deliver the Product on the expected time of delivery by our delivery partners. We shall not be liable to pay for any damages in such an event owing to cancellation of the order or delay in delivery.
In case of requests for order cancellations, Pet-a-tete reserves the right to accept or reject requests for order cancellations for any reason. For you to cancel an order, there is a time period of 24 hours from the time you place the order. As part of usual business practice, if we receive a cancellation notice and the order has not been processed/approved by us, we shall cancel the order and refund the entire amount within 15-20 working days. We will not be able to cancel orders that have already been processed.
Pet-a-tete has the full right to decide whether an order has been processed or not. You agree not to dispute the decision made by Pet-a-tete and accept Pet-a-tete’s decision regarding the cancellation.
Pet-a-tete is constantly endeavouring to improve the quality of Services provided to you. Due to this, the form and nature of Services provided may change from time to time without any prior notice to you. Pet-a-tete shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations caused by weather conditions, fire, flood, strike, hurricane, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, Acts of God, epidemics, pandemics or any other circumstances amounting to Force Majeure (including the operation or disruption of the internet/ telephone systems). Pet-a-tete shall also not be responsible for any loss or damage if it has to discontinue the Website or any of its services in compliance with any law, ruling, order, regulation, requirement or instruction of any Central/State Government or for any other unavoidable reason beyond its control.

Returns will only be accepted for products that are physically damaged, have physical or manufacturing defects or if the incorrect product has been shipped. We request you to reach out to us via email on hello@petatete.com with a video and photos showing the damage, defect or incorrect/ missing product, within 7 (seven) days of receiving the order.
Please note that the damage/ defect needs to be evident in the photos for acceptance of your complaint. If you fail to share appropriate photos/videos within 7 (seven) days of receiving the order, unfortunately, we cannot entertain any such complaints thereafter. Any returns should be made in proper condition in the box that your order came in along with the safety packaging. If you do not return the product in proper packaging and condition, your return will be disqualified and we will ship the same package back to you.
On receipt of the returned product, Pet-a-tete will proceed to inspect the same and validate the claim. Once approved as an eligible return, a replacement will be issued to you. If the product is found to be ineligible for return, the product will be couriered back to you.
In the event the Product is not damaged and you wish to exchange the same for a genuine reason, please reach out to us at connect@petatete.com and we will make best efforts to work with you to find a solution. However, if the Product has been used by your pet, we will not be able to exchange the same for hygiene reasons.

If your Forest is damaged in transit, we’ll resolve it. Write to us within 7 days of delivery with photos, and we’ll arrange a replacement or repair.
Yes. We use non-toxic, low-VOC, hypoallergenic materials with smooth finishes and rounded edges. Every detail is considered with cats and their behaviours in mind.
